Seriously, where does the time go? I remember checking into the hospital and giving birth to TT like it was yesterday. And now she is ONE SHORT MONTH away from being a one year old! (And I'm one short month away to being a parent of two one year olds! Oh vey!)
TT continues to be such a joy. She is a total Mama's girl at the moment and I love that my baby girl loves me so much.
She is also learning so much. She is Miss Independent, and doesn't like anyone to feed her. Instead, she likes us to put food on her high chair tray, and she feeds herself all by herself. She never liked jarred baby food, and now she eats everything that we eat. . . in a more mushed up texture. She only has 2 teeth afterall! Her favorite food right now is olives. . . or as we say in Arabic, zatoons. She is my Egyptian girl, that's for sure!
She crawls with speed, walks along furniture, and now she is getting brave and letting go of one piece of furniture and then grabbing on to another. This usually results in falling, but she is getting brave, and I think in the next couple of months, I'm going to have another walker on my hands!
TT is also Miss Sensitive. Her feelings get hurt easily, and she clearly understands what NO means, and when she hears it, her bottom lip comes out, and she produces the saddest cry ever.
TT is so smart too! She loves to do SO BIG, and she is starting to imitate noises. Her favorite right now is when I ask her to roar like a lion, she says, "arrrrrrrrrrrrrr." I still haven't gotten a MAMA out of her yet, but it isn't from lack of trying. Soon I hope! :) She also likes to clap her hands, and when I start singing, "If you're happy and you know it" she is clapping her hands right on cue. She also loves to wave to people. She is so much more vocal but nothing can be made out quite yet. But I love that she is "talking" so much.
TT is starting to look so different too! Sometimes I look at her, and I see her Egyptian side coming out so strongly these days. TT is also our weather girl. If she wakes up with curly hair, we know we're in for some Minnesota humidity! Today it's supposed to be near 100 degrees. And yes, her hair was very curly this morning! :) (We don't have dry heat in Minnesota it seems)
TT is an absolute joy, and as we hit the 1 month mark until her birthday, I find myself very nostalgic. A year passes quickly. Just yesterday, TT was an itty-bitty newborn, who couldn't hold her head up, therefore she was in a constant cuddle position. Now, she is way too busy to cuddle with me. I am amazed at her being and sometimes I feel like she is my kindred spirit.
And in a state of my nostalgia. . . Here is a video of TT when she was about 4 months old. (Ignore my annoying voice) Everyone told me that it goes fast, and wow. . . IT GOES REALLY FAST!!!

Oh my goodness, I can't believe she is almost a year old! Both your kids are so darn cute!!
She is so cute and I adore that curly hair!! Hubby's hair is very very curly, but wasn't when he was little, I'm still crossing fingers that this one will have curls!! I can't believe S is almost a year old!!!! Crazy how fast the time goes!
She's so sweet!
I'm so impressed that she eats what you guys do! I think I've been too nervous about the choking thing, and have held mine back.
Addison clearly understands no also, but she gives me a look as if to say, "whatever, mom!". haha!
I love that baby "talk", and how they try to imitate your speech patterns. Yesterday I swear mine were both having a conversation sitting/peering out the front door. We imagine it went something like,
"It's a big world out there huh?"
"Yep, we've got lots of trouble to get into"
"I know, I can't wait!"
Are you planning a 1st birthday party?
Happy 11 Months! A year really does pass by a lot quicker than I ever imagined it to be!
love the curls!! and i was so glad to read that you all were ok after that bad storm.
I love how you describe your kiddos. I am just in love with S and haven't even met her...yet! :)
