The Parenting Plunge
Yesterday, T went out and bought us a minivan! I knew it would happen eventually, and I'm not going to lie, I really love it.
I don't think we'll have more kids, but I still like the space. In our sedan, our entire backseat was Nur and TT's carseats, so there wasn't room for much else. Now we have a lot of storage for those weekends at the cabins, trips to Grandma and Grandpa's house, and things like that.

I thought I would be more sad saying goodbye to the Mercedes, but it was time, and I'm loving our new family vehicle. :)

We traded in our 4 Door Jeep Wrangler for a minivan 2 days before we had Noah. And I LOVE having a van! Love it!
We just got a minivan this week and I love it, too! So great to have more space for all the baby stuff.
We love our captains seats! I don't know how anyone does the giant carseats in a smaller vehicle. Plus, we always use the van floor with a blanket for diaper changes. We just leave some extra diapers and wipes in the drivers front pocket. No dirty public bathroom changes! I hear it's good for when they hey older, because they have their own space. ie no backseat wrestling!
I totally suck at parking the thing though! Ha!
Congrats on the new wheels! Laawwwwd, a minivan! Hehe! When I used to work at social services, one of the agency vehicles we had was a Dodge Caravan, and I will admit that it was one of the most enjoyable cars we had. :)
P.S. Arlo has the same little jacket as Nur! :)
What kind did you get? I can't tell from the pictures. We are going through this thought process right now. I drive a small SUV right now and with 2 carseats in the back, there is no room for anyone else. It has proven to be a hassle because we've had several sets of guests visit recently and we've had to travel around in 2 cars. I'm kind of thinking about one of the SUVs that has captains seats in the 2nd row and then a full 3rd row (e.g. Chevy Traverse). But I do like a few of the minivans, too. Ah, decisions!
We got a VW Routan. As far as minivans go, it's really nice! We had issues with the transition from a nice car to of all things (gasp!) a van, but this is a really nice van. :)

Nice! There are definite advantages to the van, not the least of which is being able to drive more than just the four of you around if you have visitors... or gain additional family members. ;) (this could be in reference to pets as well)
