That's how I feel anyway.
T and I are officially waiting for just ONE document to come in the mail, and then we can mail in our Dossier. Of course the document we are waiting on is completely out of our control. (This adoption stuff has really been teaching me important life lessons about control and letting go) I'm hoping and praying we can submit the Dossier next week. I know that once we're on the wait list, things will only get harder, but I still want to get to that point. Then I won't feel guilty buying our monkey things. It will just feel more real.
The document we are waiting on will come notarized, so T and I decided that we would take the stack of papers (times 3 copies) to the bank and have them all notarized. Well, we got the banker from hell. She was very rude, managed to get all of our documents severely out of order, which took me a good hour to put back in place when I got home, and her commission expires January 31st, 2010. Even MORE incentive to hurry up and get these documents mailed.
Not only that, but when we got home, I started stressing about all the documents. Is the notary seal clear enough? Did we fill things out correctly? I'm nervous for the agency to receive all this paperwork and then come back to us and see things need correcting.
We are ALMOST there though.
In other news, I am bringing back the raffle tomorrow, and I have a wonderful handmade item by a fellow blogger that I will be raffling. Be sure to check in tomorrow and be sure to tell your friends. :-D

Congratulations on being so close to filing everything!! I'm hoping the last document will arrive shortly!!
One more document! I am so excited for you. I can only imagine how antsy you are, cause I am antsy for you.
That sucks about the banker from hell. Maybe she is going through a divorce or a dog ate one of her million cats that morning.
I can't wait to see what you're raffling off this week. :D
Congrats on getting the paper work done! That is a HUGE accomplishment!
The waiting part is hard... but only because there is not much you can do at that point but wait... but it is a good spot to be, it is part of the process. The waiting is a good kind of hard (if that makes any sense). The waiting brings you closer to your child.
I hope that you don't have any corrections on your dossier!
Only 1 more document - I'd feel the exact same way at this point too! Congrats on getting there, almost.
Sorry about the mean banker. Are you sure you won't have problems with her commission expiring in only 3 months? I recall reading we needed to make sure our notary's commission didn't expire until 6 months after our court date (estimated court date, that is).
Yay! So close! I totally understand the "giving up control" thing..it's hard!
Hoping that other document comes very quickly!!!
I fell in love with your "gift of adoption" headliner. A gal (with whom I work) and I were just discussing children and the role that "having" a child plays in today's society. We were a bit down about the fact that so many view "having" a child as a right and entitlement instead of the gift that HAVING a child can be. You will HAVE a child. But you already know it's a gift. (I hope you don't mind that I called a child "it". I affectionately called my babies in utero "it". I mean no harm.) Such a blessing to see someone know that raising a child instead of simply "having" on is a true gift indeed.
All of your documents and all of your mailings and all of your notaries will work out. If they don't the first time, they will the second time. Consider this preparation your test for parenting! If trial ONE doesn't work....go to trial TWO...and so on. It becomes a never ending cycle of LOVE. :) Enjoy!
(Thanks for stopping by and stumbling on my blog. It's in a rather boring stage of its life, but that might be because I am right now!)
So hard to wait! That is the worse thing of anything! But you will get there eventually and this part will be one more thing behind you. You and my family are in my prayers that things keep going smoothly.
i'm sorry you got a jerk of a notary! you'd think she'd be nicer, especially once she knew what the documents were for!!! hurry up, last piece of paperwork!!!
Hey there! I just left you an award on my blog.
Have a great evening!
Ooooooh yes...a great lesson in learning that things are out of our control. (((Hugs)))
I am so excited about how CLOSE you are!! Wonderful news :) That last document better come quickly...I'm sure that must be difficult to wait for that one last thing!
Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment and taking the time to read a little! I have been catching up on your adoption journey. Congrats on being so close! Sorry about the bank teller....some people just don't think before they do. Hope you have a great weekend!
