The picture below is our first baby gifts. Yay! :-D The blanket is from my sister. She said she saw it and couldn't refuse. . . it having a monkey on it and all. And then my Mom got us the Baby's First Year book. I looked through it, and some of it made me sad because we will miss some of our baby's first year. I guess I'll just have to edit the Baby's First Year to contain the first year with us.
And that blanket is the softest thing ever. I can't wait until we see our son wrapped up in it.
:-D

The blanket is adorable! :) Yay for baby gifts!!
I love love love that blanket!
Perfect gifts. That baby book can be whatever you want it to be!
Hi, Leah - I clicked over here from your comment on Jenny's blog today, because I see we are adopting from the same country. I think we are at about the same point in the process - our home study and dossier are done, but we're waiting on USCIS approval before we can get on our agency's wait list. Anyway, I look forward on following you through the rest of your journey. That's so great about the cute baby gifts!
The blanket is so adorable. I totally agree with baby book modifications. That is a great way to look at it.
You are officially on your way to collecting items for your son!
You can get adoption baby books...try amazon and I think Borders has it too. It says things like "first month together" and things like that. It is great no matter when they come come!
A very bad thing to do would be to do a general search at Babies R Us for "Monkey". LOL so much cute stuff!! I did a whole monkey themed basket of stuff for our niece about a year ago.
i love it! you can def. make it a "your first year home" book :-)
Awwww! Yay!
How very thoughtful...the blanket is very cute! You can definitely make that baby book your own.
no baby book is perfect - no matter how your little one comes to you - use it however you like! you could print off your list of dates you have on your blog sidebar and tape it in there to start with. :) or, if there's a place for an ultrasound pic - put your date list there - however you use it, it's just important to have memories written down - your little guy will love to hear all about when he was little and how he came to you someday.
maddie is always asking me to tell her something about when i was little and something about when she was little and something about when isaac was little. it helps to have some things written down!
and what a sweet little monkey blanket. :)
