All My Bags Are Packed. . . I'm Ready to Go

Okay, that blog title is only half true. I am ready to go, however, my bags aren't quite packed. But, my clothes are clean, and I have a good idea of what I want to pack. That's a start. :-D

I remember the date May 26th very well. Let's just say I was having a bad day. Okay, bad day doesn't even do this day justice. Let's just say if I counted the 5 worst days of my life, this day would have made that list. T and I had been wanting to go to Ireland to see my relatives, so during my lunch break that day, I decided to check on flights to Ireland. Let's just say I've NEVER seen airfare that inexpensive. So, before calling T or anything, I booked the tickets. Before I even asked my relatives if we could come, I booked the tickets.

For four months since that day of May 26th, I've thought little of Ireland. It's always been so off in the distance, and it's always been the trip I booked because of my very bad day. But here I am, taking off tomorrow, and oh, how life has changed. T and I adopting has given me so much joy in life. And not only joy, but hope.

When T and I announced that we were adopting, many people asked me if I would cancel our Ireland trip. Besides the fact that canceling a trip is actually quite expensive, I knew my soul needed this trip. I knew that this trip wasn't the best idea financially considering we are trying to SAVE, SAVE, SAVE, for adoption, but I also know I've had a really rough year, and when the soul is restored, life is restored.

So tomorrow, T and I will embark on another journey.

Unfortunately, my cat is not as happy about our journey. Sucar is a SMART cat. She knows something is up. I wish we could pack her and bring her, but yeah, that just wouldn't be safe.
