The Weekend

Our anniversary weekend was very different than any we've had in the past. We were planning on dinner and a movie, but when Scarlett got a bad cold, we decided we weren't comfortable leaving her for a few hours, so we changed our plans.

We decided the humid MN day would be perfect for her congestion so we got her outside and had lunch on a bench in front of one of our favorite Minneapolis lakes. We then walked around the neighborhood, came home and took naps, and then ordered pizza and watched the MN Twins game. Definitely low key, but we loved being together as a family.

We are hoping that this week is the week we get THE CALL about going to pick up Khalil. :)

Happy anniversary, Leah! Wow, you guys just have so many good things to celebrate this year! I love a low-key anniversary celebration...those quiet and relaxed moments are where it's at. :)

Happy Anniversary! You spent your weekend indulging in what you have waited so long for...and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that :)

Praying you all get THE CALL, as I can't wait for your sweet son come home.

Many HUGS

Even though you didn't get to go out as you planned, it sounds like a wonderful anniversary of being together :) Sometimes the low-key dates are the best! I hope your little one is feeling better and that you get your call this week!
