Projects, Projects, and MORE Projects

I thought I would let you all into T and I's house so you could get a glimpse of some of our projects going on right now. Lots of projects!

So, the blue room. This will be our son's room. T and I painted it a couple of years ago, and we said whether we have a boy or a girl, we are NOT repainting. So, our monkey will go in this room. Right now, it doubles as our guest room. It's a big room. . . actually the biggest bedroom in our home. It has beautiful hardwood floors, nice window coverings, and will make a great bedroom for our boy. But I suppose first we need to clear out all this stuff.
Oh yes, and you can see that T has made it a total boy's room. When I wasn't paying attention, this went up in the window. Hmm. . . not the classy look I was going for. ;-)
Oh yes, and the blue room also doubles as my getting ready for work room. And my scarf collection room. And my hat collection room. I guess I'm going to have to find another space for all of my stuff. Hmm. . .
More of the blue room.
And here is our current office. It's usually more organized than this (I promise) but we've already started the removal of the stuff, and for some reason, instead of getting organized, things feel more unorganized. Here is the closet in the office. We need to remove some of the shelving, place a rod for hanging clothes, and find a new place to store all the "junk" we currently keep in there. Feeling overwhelmed just talking about this!
Another view of our office, which will become lil monkey's room. We plan on painting the walls. I don't mind the color, but this was the first room T and I ever painted when we moved into our house, and it's not the most professional job.
More office views. We're also going to need new window treatments. The carpet is brand new, so that's good. This is the only room in our upstairs not hardwood floors. What's up with that?
And, this is our pantry project. This is a huge pantry that is above our stairs going to our lower level. We've never used it. Ever. Our kitchen is plenty of space for all of our things. But the fact that we're becoming a family of 4, that won't be the case anymore. So far, T put up that plastic shelf you can see. We plan on putting a few more of those up to create more levels and so we don't have wasted space. We think this will be a great space for many items. And my cat insisted on running in as soon as I opened the door. Silly Sucar!
So, here are just a few projects going on. I should have been working on the projects instead of blogging about them, but that's how I roll. :-D

Just yesterday I was looking at my little home office and wondering where the heck all of the stuff there is going to go when we turn it into a nursery! We somehow manage to acquire so much when we have the space for it. Good luck with your projects. I'm glad to see the before shots and look forward to seeing the after shots!

I seriously love house projects. I wish I owned my own home so that I could do projects on it. If you lived closer, I would offer to come and do projects for you, that is how sick I am.

Looks like you guys have a lot of fun work to do! Won't it be so nice to sit back and look at what you have done? And since you blog you will have before and after pics!

Isn't it funny how cleaning up feels like you're making a bigger mess first? I remember going through that when I was converting a guest room to a nursery too. Take pictures of when it is super messy so that when it is all done you can look back and see how much progress you made.

Wow, there IS a lot to do! I'm sure everything will get done and you will have a ton of help if time gets cut close w/ the adoption.

I can't wait to see how the nurseries turn out!!

PS - I was in Fairmont, MN, waaaay out in the middle of nowhere! Just off of 90.

Sounds like you have as many projects as us...we are painting 3 rooms, converting 3 rooms (office to baby room, baby room to gues room, guest room to baby room...confusing, I know), moving a doorway, installing french doors in a hallway...and reorganizing all the closets in between...there's a LOT to do...and we're suppose to traveling in probably April. Wow.

Sounds like we're both going to be very busy in the next couple months getting our homes in order - good luck!

I've definitely learned that - in the cleaning out process - things often get worse before they get better. Good luck with all your chores. I'm sure they'll be much more bearable since they are in anticipation of your babies!

haha your last comment about how you should be working on the projects instead of blogging about them totally made me laugh - I always do that too! And when I'm done blogging, I think about how much I could have gotten done during that time if I had been working on the project....

oh well, guess that's just the way it is!

I'm sure all the projects feel overwhelming right now, but don't forget to enjoy them along the way. What an exciting time for you guys! Everything that needs to get done will get done somehow, and then the real fun starts :) I'm just so excited for you!!!!

Now that you've blogged about them, it will force you to complete them, so you can blog about the finished results! See, there was a method to your madness. I enjoyed the view. :)

Lookin' good! I can't wait to see the finished results :)

Lots of stuff to do...but you'll get it done. Thanks for posting pics. I think that I've purposely held off posting pics, because then I would have to show progress at some point. I'll be doing that soon, I guess.

I like the color blue you painted! (I also like your vanity table...I need one of those!)

It's definitely more fun to blog about the projects than work on them! :) You'll get it all done then you can post the "after" pics for all of us to see!

Hello

I am new to this site. Loads of people have added so many good things here. Please accept my little contribution towards community. I would like to share some quick weight loss tips. If you want to know how to lose 10 lbs in a calendar week, you are probably not searching for a standard dieting and workout plan. You can lose weight with a basic diet and workout plan, Still this takes a lot of time doing intense cardio drills and binding to a strict diet. Here I will outline the right steps that I took to lose 10 pounds in just a week.

1. Stay away from all fried nutrients for the week
2. Drink an 8oz glass of grapefruit with breakfast every day. (this speeds up up your metabolism)
3. Take fair portions (stop taking when you are full)
4. Instead of taking 3 large a meals a day, eat 5-6 smaller meals to keep your metabolism up and keep your body burning fat.
5. Aviod your habbit of eating after 9 P.M.. When you eat that late your body does not burn off the calories.
6. Take proper sleep every night. Not getting enough rest causes been verified to be a major element to the body putting up excess fat.
7. Use a body/colon cleanse for the 7 days. This will get rid of needless weight stored around the stomach area as well as cleanse your body of harmfull pollutants that makes you store fat and feel tired. Flush away excess pounds around the stomach area that otherwise would be hard to lose.
8. I advice you using Acai Berry Diet Pills. This one is tested to work, and you can get a free trial.
9. For those mens/womens who wish to burn fat quickly, avoid intoxicant.
10. A low GI diet is an excellent method of burning fat quickly.
