I then asked T to watch our niece for a moment while I tended to business elsewhere. (which translates to I had to use the bathroom for the 3rd time in that hour) I came back and T was singing her soccer songs. If you know T, you know he is OBSESSED with everything soccer. He and I support Manchester United. Our niece seemed to like T's song. And who knows, maybe we have a soccer fan in our midst. :-D

Wow! He's going to be a great Dad. :-D
This weekend, T and I felt like doing something in preparation for the babies. Most of the time, this means walking around a mall and being overwhelmed. And we did that for a bit when we walked around the Mall of America. Some super star I've never heard of named Emily Osment was there, so the mall was CRAZY with pre teens. We had to get out of dodge. . . and FAST! But then I had the brilliant (yes brilliant) idea to head to this store I've heard about called Once Upon a Child. What a great store! Everything is second hand. I left there buying a couple adorable little outfits that totalled $11.00. Not bad.
My first babies (plural) has been scheduled! I'm so excited! Saturday May 1st it is! I don't do well at showers. . . at least showers in my honor. I like to attend parties, but never like to be the reason a party is being held. The center of attention is just not my thing. Well, luckily my sister is making it a couple's shower so the shower will be for T and I. Much less pressure. I like it!
I have Thursday and Friday off of work this week, and am really happy about it. My parents are coming into town and we have some plans, and I'm looking forward to the much needed break from work.
T and I are down to two interviews for childcare. Our last one is Saturday, and we hope to extend an offer or sign a contract or something like that by early next week. Progress!

I don't like parties that are thrown in my honor either... I would much rather stay out of that limelight.
you've had quite a bit going on! i think one of the greatest things is going to be watching our husbands become daddies :-)
You two are sooo adorable. I can't wait until the pictures of you two with babies are you with your own.
I completely agree with the showers. I hate it when they are for me too. I promise it won't be so bad. I hope you walk away with a great stash! Hopefully people in MN are as generous as they are in TX.
*hugs!*
I've shopped at that store for my sister's baby - I think I got her 7 or 8 pieces of clothing for $24! Not bad :).
Hope you have a good visit from your parents!
Once upon a child is my favorite shop. I have clothed the babies "almost" completely from there! I have bought both baby swings and both playpens from there as well. Oh and the twin stroller.
You both look very happy and excited with your niece. I'm glad your breaking T in =D
Have a wonderful day!
Your niece is such a cutie!! Enjoy your days of work!
what great practice with your niece! Oh and Im so with you on the showers in my honor its so tough being the center of attention we had a couples shower for one of them and it really helped I made Chad open all the gifts:)
Good luck with finding a daycare
How nice that all THREE cousins will be so close in age!!
And yes - you will love watching T love up your babes!
I'm the same way at showers or parties in my honor. But I found when it was for our baby shower it was so much easier because they technically weren't presents for me.
Be sure to get on Once Upon a Child's email list. Ours does twice a year grab bag events which are great. I buy and sell there.
