Weekly Pregnancy Post - 25 Weeks

How far along: 25 weeks
Gender: Girl!
Pregnancy Symptoms: You know, I really feel great. My energy level has been great, I haven't been feeling sick. I guess you could say I'm in the honeymoon stage of the pregnancy.
Maternity Clothes: Sure am. My midwife keeps hinting at my rapid weight gain. Yes, yes, I get it, but I'm SO not going to stress about it. It will come off. . . eventually.
Movement: Daily, and I'm starting to figure out this girl's sleep patterns.
Best Moment of the Week: Finally finished registering. Registering is so much fun! It's just a big wish list! I put everything on there, because the places we registered, Tar.get, and Baby's R Us both give you a discount on everything on the registry that wasn't purchased for you. Pretty sweet deal! And my first shower has been scheduled. YAY! It will be a co-ed shower. :)
Food Cravings: Sour lemonade
What I miss: I miss going out and having a social life. I feel like from the moment I found out I was pregnant, the nesting began.
Weekly Wisdom: When it comes to choosing who will watch your child after maternity leave, always trust your gut.
And here is my 25 week picture. I really need to start getting T to take my picture again as the quality would be much better than these mirror shots. :-D

So far, this pregnancy has been textbook. I don't know why, but I came into it just assuming that things would go wrong. Struggling to get pregnant made me a pessimist, and I figured it took me so long to get pregnant, the pregnancy would definitely be a disaster. But everything has been on track so far, from the baby's weight gain, to my measurements, to my blood pressure. I pray that things continue to be on track, and that I stay pregnant at least another 12-13 weeks. (Yes, my newest concern is pre-term labor) I fully realize that I need to spend my time in better ways than worrying. . . constantly.

You look great!! I CANNOT believe that you are already 25 weeks along! Time sure flies!! (From this end, anyways!) All I can say is, try your best not to worry. Easier said than done, but I know I sure regret the time I missed because I spent so long worrying about everything.

I put everything we would need on our registry too. Just a little hint, you have a month or so after the baby is born before you have to purchase what is left on your BRU registry to get the discount. You can still add things to it until the deal expires! So I found what we still needed afer the baby came, added them to my registry, and then bought it all a day or so before the offer expired. :D

As an infertile, it is your job to worry about your pregnancy. It comes with the territory. You wouldn't be sane if you didn't.

And I think you pregnancy is perfect because you had to fight so hard to get it. Mine was perfect too. Text book, picture perfect. :)

Glad you're doing well! Chelle is right on with the BRU registry stuff. Plus I think there is a week at the end where you get 10% off of everything.

It probably won't make you feel any better about the weight, but I actually gained 60 lbs with each of my kids. The Dr. had fits with me! But I was skinny to start with and the weight came right back off.

Glad to hear you are feeling good. That is such a blessing. Are you going to share a name?

Now quit worrying! It will do you absolutely no good.

Textbook is right, you deserve this!

Don't worry about the weight...just live in this beautiful moment. As you say, it will come off :)

Keep nesting!

Much Love and BIG Hugs...
ps Thanks for the encouragement that you pass along to me :) I hope to follow your lead.

Hi Leah, just found your blog on the Ethiopian Blogroll site. I am 17 weeks pregnant and just got our referral for a little boy. We are also working with Dove. Just thought I'd say hello and introduce myself since we are in the same boat. :) (Minus the fact that I have horrible horrible pregnancies) Glad you are feeling good.
